Goalkeeper Coach

Denmead Senior Teams are seeking an experienced and passionate Goalkeeper Coach to join our coaching. We are committed to developing confident, technically sound, and resilient goalkeepers our across senior squads.


Key Responsibilities:

Design and deliver specialized, high-energy GK training sessions tailored to positional development. Focus on core mechanics: shot-stopping, handling, positioning, distribution, footwork, and aerial command.

Provide constructive feedback and tactical guidance during training sessions and match days. Build confidence, communication skills, and mental toughness in our goalkeepers.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Experience: Coaching experience with goalkeepers (grassroots, youth academy, or adult level).

Certifications: Recognized FA Coaching badges (or equivalent) preferred.

Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and ability to engage players of varying age groups.

Safeguarding: Valid First Aid certification and background checks required with valid DBS


This a voluntary position, coaching Tuesday evenings & Saturdays if available


ADULT SECERTARY


About Us:

Denmead is a friendly, community-focused grassroots football club supporting 26 teams across youth and adult football. We are run entirely by dedicated volunteers who make football accessible to players in Denmead & surrounding areas. We are looking for an organized, reliable, and enthusiastic Club Secretary to play a key role in keeping our club running smoothly both on and off the pitch.


The Role:

As Club Secretary, you’ll be the central administrative point of contact for the club, liaising with leagues, county FA representatives, and club members.


Key Responsibilities:

League Administration: Register teams, process player registrations, and submit match returns/results.

Communication: Serve as the main contact for local FA communications, league secretaries, and visiting teams.

Meetings: Prepare agendas, take brief minutes at monthly committee meetings, and manage general club correspondence.

Fixtures & Facilities: Coordinate with fixtures secretaries and pitch providers to ensure smooth matchday operations.

What We’re Looking For:

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Good communication skills (written and verbal).

Basic computer literacy (familiarity with email, online registration systems like FA Whole Game System/Comet, or a willingness to learn).

Enthusiasm for local community sport (no prior football coaching or playing background required!).

Time Commitment & Details:

Hours: Approximately [e.g., 2–4 hours per week], variable depending on the time of season (busiest around registration time in July/August).


What Is Required for a Grassroots Club Secretary?


  1. Essential Skills & Attributes:

    • Organization: Ability to handle multiple deadlines (e.g., player registration cut-offs, fine payment deadlines).

    • Basic Tech Literacy: Comfort using online administration portals (such as the FA's Whole Game System / Matchday App in the UK

    • Discretion & Integrity: Handling player data and club records confidentially.

  2. Compliance & Safeguarding Requirements:

    • Background Checks: Standard criminal record / DBS checks if the club involves youth teams (under-18s).

    • Safeguarding Certification: Online safeguarding course for committee members.

  3. Key Tools Needed to Hand Over:

    • Access to the club email account

    • Access to governing body registration portals.

    • A club contact directory (committee members, team managers, venue providers).


Be the Heart of Our Matchday! Volunteer Pitch Setup & Matchday Assistant Wanted

We are a proud community grassroots football club ,every weekend, families, and supporters come together at our grounds.

To ensure our match run smoothly, safely, and create a great atmosphere, we are looking for enthusiastic Matchday Volunteers to join our club.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Pre-Match Setup: Pegging goal nets, placing corner flags, erecting respect barriers/spectator ropes, and setting out team Dugouts.

  • Facilities & Safety: Checking pitch condition for hazards and setting up matchday signage.

  • Matchday Operations: Welcoming visiting teams, pointing referees to dressing rooms.

  • Post-Match Pack-Down: Collecting flags, taking down nets, packing away equipment, and ensuring grounds are clean and clear.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Reliable, hands-on, and punctual individuals.

  • No previous football experience required—just a willingness to roll up your sleeves and support local Club.

  • Great attitude and friendly demeanour to welcome visitors and club members.

Time Commitment & Schedule:

  • When: Matchdays: Saturdays afternoons.

  • Shift Duration: Approx. [2–3 hours] per matchday (e.g., 90 minutes before kick-off to 30 minutes after).

  • Flexibility: You don't have to commit to every single weekend, any additional help will be appreciated.

  • Would suit retired football lovers, to get you out the house socialising with like minded people.
